We are considering replacing our hot water heater with a tankless hot water heater. Ideally I would love to be able to run 2 showers or a shower, the kitchen sink to wash dishes and possible be able to flush the toilet without losing water pressure or getting scorched in the shower. Is a tankless heater a way to help prevent or alleviate such issues?

A tankless water heater is perfect for you. There are several different sizes available to fit into any household, but for your needs I would recommend a Noritz NR98-SV 7.5 Gallon per Minute Tankless Water Heater. This unit would allow you to use 2 showers at once, and still have some extra capacity in case you need it. As this system heats water on demand, there won’t be any concern about running out of hot water. You also have full control over the temperature of the water coming out of the unit, so don’t be worried about getting scorched.

A tankless solution will also save you money. You will no longer be heating water that you are not using all day and night. It will only heat the water you want to use, to the temperature that you set it to. This unit is so efficient that it even qualifies for the 2009-2010 federal tax credit. You will get back 30% of your total installation and purchase price, up to $1500.

A Noritz Tankless water heater should solve all your problems, and save you money.
