This week in the northeast, the weather was brutal. The middle of the week had morning temperatures that brought frost in some areas, and some of us were still turning on the heat. By Saturday, the thermometer was in the 90's, time to turn on the AC. And, everyone was saying the same thing, "It got too hot, too fast". It's only the first week of May and we've already had two weekends with way above normal heat.
Keeping that in mind, it's time to take stock of your air conditioner. If your AC just didn't keep you cool last year, or if you're not sure your unit will last another full season...here are a couple of reasons why now is the time to look for a replacement. First, selection. As we all know, last year was not a great retail season. There is a larger than normal selection because many manufacturers did not sell their usual inventory, and are now adding new units, creating a great range of models with features and prices for every consumer. Second...do you really want to be that guy they show on the news every year? You know, it's 102° and he's at the store looking for an air conditioner. Too bad there are only two left, one for the size of a small closet and the other big enough for a warehouse. Don't be that guy! Before it's too late, start checking out the model that is perfect for your needs.
Friedrich offers a wide range of available sizes, with features such as a 24-hour timer, remote control, dry mode for greater dehumidification and auto restart. Many models are Energy Star Qualified and some models, such as the CP1830 are offering a FREE 4 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY with purchase. This warranty is available for a limited time, so if you need an upgrade in your cooling system, don't wait until the summer's heat is here, and the inventory is gone.
